We are delighted to announce that Dr Sally Rodgers, lecturer in both music and music business practice, an internationally renowned DJ and producer, and one half of electronic music originators A Man Called Adam, will be giving the closing keynote at Festival Day. Her presentation is entitled The Poetry of Everything and will talk about her life in music, research obsessions and her firm belief that if we consider the technological context we’re working in, poetry resonates in all communications. To say we are excited to have her present would be an understatement!
As in previous years Festival Day will draw to a close with the evening social event, with food available from the town hall cafe, and this year we will have music courtesy of Mark Tranmer, Richard O’Brien and Cosmic Jane. For further details, see the programme.
Registration for Festival Day is now open and if you’re planning to head along to Open Source Hardware Camp, don’t forget to register separately for this also!
As in previous years there are sponsorship opportunities and without the support of sponsors the festival simply would not be possible. Once again, to find out more, drop us a line.
We look forward to seeing you in August!
