Bill Thompson Keynote, Laser Cutting Workshop and Tickets on Sale!

July 12, 2023

We’re thrilled to announce that Bill Thompson will be giving the opening keynote at this year’s Festival Day, with a talk entitled “This is not my beautiful web...” — from TCP/IP to Instagram Threads, a journey into the betrayal of our dreams and a glimpse of redemption.

On the final day of the festival, Saturday 2nd September, local hackerspace Bridge Rectifier will once again be hosting an introduction to laser cutting. No previous experience or equipment is needed and the workshop is free to attend, although registration is required.

Bridge Rectifier will also be hosting an open evening on Wednesday 30th August from 7PM to 9PM and all are welcome, whether potentially interested in joining Bridge Rectifier, or just in town for the festival and you'd like to say hello.

Registration for Festival Day is now open and if you’re planning to head along to Open Source Hardware Camp, don’t forget to register separately for this also!

As in previous years there are sponsorship opportunities and without the support of sponsors the festival simply would not be possible. To find out more, drop us a line.

We look forward to seeing you in August!
